Vimal’s multi-purpose office and family room
Vimal needed a versatile garden room to serve as a quiet home office, a family hangout space, and a fitness studio. With MyEco Garden Room’s Luxe collection, we delivered a beautiful, functional space that seamlessly integrates into his garden.
The initial challenge
Vimal, a design professional, struggled to find a quiet, focused environment in his busy household. He needed a space that would allow him to work distraction-free while also providing a welcoming environment for family relaxation and personal fitness. Additionally, he wanted the garden room to reflect his design sensibilities, with aesthetic harmony between his home, garden, and outdoor features like the fire pit area.
Our approach
During the initial design consultation, Vimal chose a garden room from our Luxe collection, featuring thick 150mm SIPs for excellent insulation and noise reduction. The room’s cedar cladding was selected to complement the brick tones of his house, creating visual harmony.
We collaborated closely with Vimal to ensure the space met his multi-purpose needs, incorporating tailored lighting for both work and leisure. For the foundation, we used ground screws to minimise disruption to the garden. The build process was seamless, from assembling the SIP kit to finalising the finishes, including bespoke interior lighting and outdoor LED strips that synchronised perfectly with Vimal’s fire pit area.
The finished room
The result is a stunning multi-functional space. By day, it serves as a quiet, inspiring home office where Vimal can focus on his creative projects. By evening, it transforms into a cosy family retreat or a personal fitness studio. The cedar exterior enhances the garden’s natural beauty, while the thoughtful lighting design creates a warm, inviting ambiance inside and out.
